SGM (Ret.) Gunkano Sylvester Luo is a senior operations executive and retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major with more than 25 years of global leadership experience in security operations, logistics, transportation, force protection, emergency response, and organizational readiness. As Chief Operating Officer of Cashimee Protective Services, he directs enterprise-wide operations, contract execution, personnel deployment, quality assurance, business development, and operational performance across the United States, Liberia, and Cashimee’s expanding West African footprint.

Throughout his military career, SGM Luo led complex movement, sustainment, and contingency operations across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Indo-Pacific. He managed transportation and convoy operations supporting more than 88,000 personnel, supervised fleets exceeding 1,200 tactical and non-tactical vehicles, and maintained accountability for assets valued at more than $400 million. His leadership improved fleet readiness, reduced operational downtime, strengthened movement control, and increased on-time mission execution across ports, bases, and multinational operating environments. 

His senior assignments included serving as a strategic logistics advisor with the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command and as Division Transportation Sergeant Major for the 10th Mountain Division, where he advised commanders on global air, sea, rail, and ground deployment operations for more than 25,000 soldiers. These roles required disciplined coordination among logistics, maintenance, security, transportation, and command elements—experience that directly informs his leadership of Cashimee’s multi-country operational model. 

At Cashimee, SGM Luo is responsible for converting executive strategy into disciplined operational execution. He oversees workforce mobilization, contract performance, operational planning, budgeting, procurement coordination, compliance, risk mitigation, and client engagement. He also serves as a principal executive representative at high-level meetings, in contract negotiations, and in strategic partnerships with government agencies, airport authorities, commercial clients, and international organizations. 

A central component of his portfolio is Physical and Aviation Security. SGM Luo provides executive operational oversight for Cashimee’s aviation programs, ensuring effective coordination among the Aviation Directorate, airport authorities, airline partners, security supervisors, and field personnel. His responsibilities support passenger profiling, document verification, aircraft security searches, baggage and cargo reconciliation, ramp and perimeter protection, crew security, quality assurance, incident escalation, and regulatory compliance. Cashimee’s aviation model places the COO within the executive chain of accountability, linking aviation operations with physical security, logistics, secure transportation, emergency response, and continuity planning under one management structure. 

SGM Luo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administration and Management from Columbia Southern University and is pursuing a Master of Arts in International Politics and Military Affairs at The Citadel. A graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Course, he brings a leadership philosophy grounded in accountability, operational discipline, professional development, and mission readiness.
